You Won’t Want To Look Away From What This 3D Printer Created

By  |

You don”t have to be a giant math nerd to enjoy these 3D prints of Fibonacci zoetrope sculptures. As awesome as it is to look at these pieces (especially while they”re in motion), you run the risk of never looking away from them. Sure, the symmetry and the composition of the structures are all based on numbers in the Fibonacci sequence, but you can still appreciate them without knowing what the heck that means. There”s something so hypnotizing about them. Must. Become. Giant. Math. Nerd.

The sculptures are animated by filming them under a strobe light with a camera that has an extremely short shutter speed.

This is absolutely blowing my mind. In fact, this is probably what my brain looks like right now.
