You Can’t Find This Abandoned Japanese Amusement Park On Any Map, But It’s Creepy As Heck

In a region of Japan known as the Fukushima Prefecture, there is a hidden, abandoned, and currently rotting amusement park formerly known as Takakanonuma Greenland. Not much is known about the park, as it wasn”t open for long. However, this doesn”t take away from it being super creepy. If anything, it adds to how creepy looking it is.
According to what is known about the park, it originally opened in 1973, but was quickly closed down in 1975.
No one is quite sure why the park closed down in 1975. Some say that it had to do with several deaths that occurred in the park.
In 1986, the park reopened and actually operated consistently until 1999, when the economy took a turn for the worse.
Since then, the park was left completely abandoned.
The surrounding forest is slowly reclaiming the park.

What makes the remnants of Takakanonuma Greenland even creepier is that the park always seems to be draped in a layer of fog.
If you”re looking to visit Takakanonuma Greenland, expect the journey to be a bit challenging. The park isn”t located on any map.
According to its Japanese Wikipedia page, the GPS coordinates of the park are allegedly 37.805,140.519167, if you want to try your luck. No one knows what you”ll find there.

I”m not a big fan of amusement parks unless they”re abandoned ones. This pretty much means that Takakanonuma Greenland is right up my alley. Hold on a minute while I book my trip to Japan.
