What She Does With This Layer Cake Is Absolutely Inspired…It’s Amazing!

If you”ve ever seen people make incredible cakes on TV, you might wonder how they”re made, in detail. It seems impossible at a glance, but it”s not at all! This incredible video shows baker Elisa Strauss going through the entire process (beginning with the pre-baked cake) of creating a nearly life-sized cake in the shape of a dog.
Why a dog? It”s a model of her dad”s dog, and the cake was created for his 60th birthday.

The finished product. It includes a stack of cakes carved into the shape of the body and a lot of fondant, a flexible, sugar-based coating that allows for details like the face and fur. Pretty amazing!
