On what sounds like the least relaxing ocean cruise ever, one researcher sat on the floating carcass of a whale and casually photographed some great white sharks while they ripped it to pieces.
A team of researchers saw the dead Bryde”s whale wafting in the tide, and one guy had the bright idea to jump onto it as if it were a giant lily pad. Surf”s up, psycho!
I guess if you”re a shark researcher, this is like the Holy Grail of opportunities. But the combination of rotting flesh and razor-sharp teeth slashing through it might make me want to stay on the boat.
