In the U.S., catfish are a tasty delight. Deep fry them, put some on a sandwich, pass the hot sauce, please! The only problem is that they aren”t usually that big. In Italy, they seem to have the opposite problem. Earlier this month, professional fisherman Dino Ferrari managed to land a 280-pound wels catfish in Italy”s Po Delta.

While the Po River is famous for its big wels catfish, most of the ones caught there are smaller than 6.5 feet long. This giant clocked in at about 8.8 feet long.
