The best gifts are those that come from the heart those presents that obviously took a lot of thought and effort to make. They don”t say, “It”s the thought that counts,” for nothing. That”s why crafting a gift for someone can be so much more meaningful than purchasing one from a store.
This guy wanted to give a gift to his girlfriend for her birthday that would really mean something, so he decided to use his creative skills to make her a present she”d cherish. Check out what he did below.
His girlfriend loves space and the phases of the moon, so he decided to make her some burned wood art depicting the moon”s phases.
He began by sanding the maple boards he had cut and glued together.
He traced out the different lunar phases, making sure to keep everything as precise as possible.
Then he used a wood-burning pen to define the shapes on the boards.
He also added zodiac symbols into each of the wood boards, another one of his girlfriend”s interests.
He then applied a dark stain to the wood, giving it a more rustic look.
For optimal showcasing ability, he attached hanging wire to the back.

So instead of going out and buying some art, why not create something yourself? This is such a sweet gift, and you can tell he put a lot of thought, time, and energy into crafting it. I think it”s safe to say that his girlfriend loved it.
