The Obama administration has banned bacon, pork chops, pork links, ham and all other pork products from all federal prisons sparking a firestorm of outrage from both pork producers and prisoner advocates.

Its yet another unilateral Obama move in support of the Islam he constantly praises.

But under fire, the administration is now denying it, giving a rationale that is producing ridicule online.

Rather than bending to the will of Muslim inmates, the Bureau of Prisons, part of Obamas Justice Department, claims the change was made based on a survey of prisoners food preferences, the Washington Post reported.

Um, yeah right.

Apparently inmates just dont like bacon … who knew?

Why keep pushing food that people dont want to eat? prison bureau spokesman Edmond Ross told the Post, presumably with a straight face. Pork has been the lowest-rated food by inmates for several years.

Inmates can still obtain packaged pork rinds at the prison commissary, according to the Post, assuming they have the means to pay for it.

Oh joy…who would want bacon, pork chops and BBQ ribs, when you can have processed pork rinds?

Nothing to do with Islam? Yeah right. Then why is the Council on American-Islamic Relations thrilled with the decision?

In general we welcome the change because its facilitating the accommodation of Muslim inmates, said CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper. We hope its not an indication of an increasing number of Muslims in the prison system.

Muslims have certainly increased among the prison population, but are still a minority. However Black and Hispanics, who represent the vast majority of Federal inmates (a staggering 71.7%, with pork-loving Hispanics comprising 34% alone) are not happy about the change.

Joe Julius of Prison Reform decried the move as unilateral and unfair and said he has never heard any groundswell of opposition to pork products among the prisoners he serves. Who doesnt like bacon? he asked.

The nations pork producers, who first learned of the ban on Monday when contacted by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for comment, are also not pleased.

I find it hard to believe that a survey would have found a majority of any population saying, No thanks, I dont want any bacon, National Pork Producers Council spokesman Dave Warner told the Post.

Smart man.

Were going to find out how this came about and go from there, Warner added. We wouldnt rule out any options to resolve this.

Can you say lawsuit? I knew that you could.

Did they even ask non-Muslims their opinions in the so-called survey? Who ran the survey? Louis Farrakhan and Associates? We dont know…because Obama refuses to release the survey!

Looks like yet another unilateral pro-Muslim move by our oh-so Christian president.
